Despite the downsized show, there's a killer spread of games this year. Let's take a look at some of the announcements that are expected to come from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo!
Even though it's scaled down this year, I don't think anyone doubts that E3 can still pack a punch. Sure, the spectacle might be entirely dead, but that doesn't mean there aren't going to be some fantastic games and announcements to be unveiled. There's already a good idea of what is going to be shown and which games are going to "steal the show", but at the same time, it's been incredibly vague this year (*cough* Nintendo *cough*). Either way, I have no doubts that unexpected, major announcements will abound at E3 2007.
Multiplatform heavyweights, such as GTA, Resident Evil and Devil May Cry are sure to be present (at very least, in the form of a trailer), but the really interesting stuff at E3 is obviously the exclusives. So let's get going and run down some of what we can expect from the big three exclusively this year at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, and possibly bust out a few predictions on the way, because, you know... those are the most fun.

Microsoft
As far as first party titles go, Microsoft is using a strategy that has excelled for them in the past: quality over quantity. The holy trinity of 2007, Halo 3, Mass Effect and Bioshock, will most likely make the biggest splash at the press conference; they all should be playable, as well. Other first party games to check out will be Rare's lineup, which we know includes Banjo-Kazooie 3, but is rumored to possibly showcase a new Kameo or Viva Pinata (oh God, please let it be Viva). I'd also bet good money that at least one new IP from Rare will get announced at the show.
There's a smattering of 3rd party exclusives you should keep your eye on, as well. Dead Rising 2 is fully expected to be announced, seeing as the original Dead Rising made Capcom oodles of cash, and I'm sure MS will lock that one up. Alan Wake could appear in some form, but I'm betting that it's not all that ready to demo yet. I expect it to be unfortunately absent from Microsoft's E3 showing. And, while it's not exactly an exclusive (heck, it's not even a whole game), the Grand Theft Auto episodic content will be loudly championed. Even though the PS3 does have GTA downloadable content coming (though no word on if it's the same content, or brand new PS3 exclusive stuff), Sony won't be talking about it yet, so Microsoft will use that to their full advantage.
