Best of Show:
Rock Band

I can see the eyebrows being raised already due to the fact that a game that didn’t win a single award other than Best Multiplatform Game managed to win the overall best of show award, so let me explain. Rock Band may not be the best looking game of the show, nor the most revolutionary, nor even the most innovative. However, what Rock Band did provide was the most fun that I have had playing a video game in a long time, in just the short thirty or so minutes I spent playing it.

Rock Band is the ultimate multiplayer/party game, and while it may cost a hefty penny, gamers need to realize that you don’t need to buy all of the instruments in order to get the full experience of Rock Band. One of the most exciting aspects of the game is hopping online and essentially recruiting your very own rock band that you can set your own standards for. If someone isn’t nailing those expert solos, drop him and find a new guitarist! It’s this kind of online experience, along with the promise of new downloadable songs being released every week that will ensure that your Rock Band will be around for a long time.

Honorable Mention: Bioshock

So there you have it. Obviously, not everyone is going to agree with the winners here, and that's completely understandable due to the fact that there were so many amazing games on display at E3 this year. Just so we can show respect to some of those other exceptional games that didn't make the cut for our big awards, here are some more specific categories that recognize some of the other exceptional titles of E3.
