#3: Banjo-Kazooie 3 (Xbox 360)
Banjo-Kazooie 3 hasn’t been heard from since X06 when a CG video was showcased of the two beloved characters. Since then, it has gone M.I.A. and thousands of gamers are wondering what’s up. Here’s the lowdown: Rare cannot screw up Banjo-Kazooie 3 as it is one of their most popular franchises. What does that mean? It means that they’ll be taking their sweet time with the title until it is ready to be shown to millions of diehard fans. Hopefully, Rare will attempt to innovate the genre and blend action with adventure to the best of their ability. We are hoping Microsoft lets the cat out of the bag soon on Banjo-Kazooie 3 or else frustration will set in for Rare extremists.

Will Rare create the perfect adventure game?

#2: Alan Wake (PC and Xbox 360)
Microsoft and Remedy are readying their action-adventure title, Alan Wake, for an early 2008 release for both Windows Vista and the Xbox 360. Named after the lead character, Alan Wake could turn out to be one of the most terrifying games in recent memory. The story revolves around a bestselling horror writer whose fiction, which is also his dreams, is starting to become non-fiction. Alan Wake’s graphics are a thing of wonder and impressed many at X06. Gamers will want Alan Wake for its awe-spiring looks and incredible storytelling when it releases in 2008. This definitely has to go on everybody’s “must have list” for 2008. It’s too bad that E3 wasn’t used to provide gamers with a hands-on experience with Alan Wake.

Alan Wake is set to horrify gamers in 2008

#1: Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Wii)
This is a no-brainer; there’s no other title bigger than Super Smash Brothers Brawl that skipped E3 2007. With new characters such as Pit, Solid Snake, Wario, Metaknight, and Zero Suit Samus all being playable, its no wonder why SSBB takes the cake as numero uno on our list. While SSBB wasn't playable or shown, news was released concerning the definitive release date - that being December 3, 2007. With the inclusion of up to one or two more third-party characters, fans of the Smash Bros. series are going wild about the recent rumor of Sonic the Hedgehog making his debut in the game. Regardless of what hasn't been revealed, SSBB will end up being one of the year's hottest titles; especially since it will incorporate online multiplayer for the first time.

There's no denying how popular the Smash Brothers series has become

There were several games that were considered but ultimately omitted from our list. If you missed any other titles this year at E3, let us know in the comments below!
