The America’s Army team has released the 1.7 update which includes the Special Edition Bridge map and addresses some of the audio issues in Version 1.6.

Special Edition Bridge Map

This time around, the ever-popular Bridge map has been revisited. The Defensive team will now have to step up their game, as the Assault has several new avenues of advance to exploit.

Besides taking the direct route across the bridge, the Assaulting team can now descend into the chasm and advance up the other side, or follow a mountainous ridge around the Bridge itself. Throw in the fact that the fog has been considerably lifted, and it’s a whole new game for both teams.

Audio Enhancements

The release fixes the issues that some users were experiencing with their sound from version 1.6. Users installing 1.7 will experience a much higher quality audio experience with a particular emphasis on 3D spatialization and EAX audio effects.
