This updated demo now supports online multiplayer! Features one single player mission from the start of the game where you, as Matthew Kane, battle with Rhino Squad to clear a landing zone for the main earth forces. The multiplayer maps "The Fragging Yard" and "The Fragging Yard 1v1" are also included.

The Strogg are quickly regrouping. However, with the Strogg's planetary defenses still destroyed, Earth's forces can deliver a full and final assault. This time, you're not alone. You are Matthew Kane, an elite member of Rhino Squad, and part of Earth's next invasion wave. An army of soldiers are fighting with you and an arsenal of weapons and vehicles are at your disposal in this heroic and epic battle between worlds.

Quake IV is the latest installment of the legendary Quake series. Developed by Raven Software and executive produced by id Software, Quake IV picks up only moments after the epic events of Quake II.

In the Quake IV single player demo, you play as space marine Matthew Kane who is about to embark on a journey with Earth’s fleet launching a massive offensive to the planet Stroggos. While en route with the rest of Rhino Squad to the Strogg’s home planet, your ship is hit and you wake up to find that your squad has crash landed behind enemy lines.

Armed with just standard issued pistol (which will hold a bit of nostalgia for Quake II fans) you must regroup with the rest of Rhino Squad to clear a landing zone for the main earth forces. Multiplayer is also included in this demo. You have the option of Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, with two maps "The Fragging Yard" and "The Fragging Yard 1v1". Fans of Quake III Arena will find themselves right at home with the multiplayer aspects of the demo. Multiplayer in Quake IV plays exactly like its predecessor.

This is a well produced demo and gives gamers just a taste of the action and mayhem that we have come to love from the series. An added multiplayer demo is a plus from what is a superb single player experience. New and old fans alike will not be disappointed, be sure to download this one.
