TF2 Gets New Map, Achievements, More

Gold Rush map, Payload mode, new medic achievements/weapons.

Valve this week announced the release of its long-awaited update for the PC version of Team Fortress 2 which includes the all-new Payload gameplay mode, plus the Gold Rush map to play it on.

In addition, a slew of 39 new achievements targeted specifically at the Medic class have also been released, as have new weapons that can be unlocked after acquiring a set amount of said achievements.

To celebrate the update, Steam will also be holding a 'Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend' in order to entice new players to start playing. You can begin pre-loading the game at Steam.com/GoldRush if you're interested.
