Five Mods Getting Full Steam Treatment

Home : News : News Story

Source-engine based mods being incorporated into full Steam structure.

Valve's Steam digital download store/social gaming network will host five mods to the company's Source engine starting next week.

The mods, Age of Chivalry, Insurgency (pictured), Synergy, D.I.P.R.I.P., and Zombie Panic, will be fully integrated into Steam's social and stat-tracking system. They will still remain free to download and play for any owners of a game based on the Source engine (Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source, Team Fortress 2).

The mods will go into the "My Games" section of Steam, just like a standalone title, and will receive automatic patches and updates like any other Steam game.
