EA continues to prove that it doesn't care about its customers. Its like déjà vu all over again.
Before we get started, I want to get one thing out of the way. I don't like EA at all. If you read my NASCAR 07 review or my Selling Game Patches article, you know I am very critical of the lack of innovation in EA games and the complete lack of respect EA shows for its customers. Now, you can insult me and call me names and disagree with me, but the fact is, with every game EA releases, they continue to prove my point. From Madden 07 on the PS2 erasing everything on your memory card, to NCAA 07's ridiculous running game problems (bad enough to where EA had to recall it on the PSP), to the completlely broken and bug-filled mess that was NBA Live 07 (bad enough to the point that it should be recalled), to the privacy invading and ad-infested disgrace of Battlefield 2142, the problems only grow worse with every game EA releases.
If you still have trouble believing me, read EA's suggestion on how to avoid a crash on Battlefield 2142. This is a direct quote: "Players who have the Windows security update KB917422 installed may suffer from an application error when running Battlefield 2142. This error can be solved by uninstalling the KB917422 update." What's KB917422, you ask? Only a security update that protects your computer from hackers. That's right, if you want to play Battlefield 2142 without it crashing, EA wants you to leave your computer more vulnerable than it already is to hackers who can hijack your computer, give it viruses, or wipe out everything on your hard drive if they so desire. How, exactly, is this an acceptable solution? If you are still not convinced that EA is full of themselves and does not care about its customers at all, I give you yet another example of their ignorance, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, specifically the PC version.
