And about those cutscenes. Oh, man, where to begin? Some (actually, it seems more like most) of the cutscenes have issues that occur. Frequently, you will see characters facing the wrong way while talking to each other. Sometimes, the camera will be focusing on the wrong spot and you won't even see the character you're supposed to. Sometimes the camera will be zoomed in directly behind or in front of a character, so that all you see is their back or chest. I've seen my main character either dancing or having a seizure in several cutscenes, as well. As mentioned before, you'll see alot of clipping as well.

If the developers had chosen to focus the camera on the character doing the talking instead of always having it focus on a pre-determined spot (regardless of where your characters are), most of these issues never would have appeared. Having said that, none of these issues are gamebreakers, but they do happen often enough to warrant mentioning, and serve to make the game look alot sloppier than it should.

Most of the cutscenes are hampered by poor camera positioning and other oddities.

One of the main features that has been added to NWN2 is that your companions are now fully controllable. You can easily switch over and control one of your other characters at any time (with a max party size of four, although you can "store" extra characters at a tavern you come across fairly early on in the game). In addition, you have full control of what skills and stats to increase when your companions gain levels, and each has their own inventory, so you can use them to store some of the loot you find. Fans of the first Neverwinter Nights will remember that none of these features was available.

Regarding those same cutscenes I mentioned before, a crash was found to occur in the original retail version when a cutscene plays. The crash seemed to only occur when you were controlling somebody other than your main character when a cutscene started. This causes a loss of game data and progress since your last save. To their credit, Obsidian has already released a patch to address this, so make sure to use the very handy auto-update tool that comes with the game before you first play NWN2.
