Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

Joining GDI (the good guys) and Nod (the bad guys) in C&C3 are the Scrin, a group of aliens who thrive on Tiberium.  While their appearance along with the traditional GDI and Nod factions is somewhat (if you'll forgive me) alien, they do add some zesty new variety.  Some Scrin units gain healing ability from Tiberium, others can merge together to form hybrids, and a few will strike fear in the hearts of the more terrestrial armies.  The late-game Scrin units seem a bit more powerful pound-for-pound than the other factions - especially the awesome mothership, which can destroy a building in a single shot and cause a chain reaction that takes out other nearby structures.  Nice.

The single-player campaigns are top-notch, featuring all three factions (the Scrin are unlocked after finishing the others).  The full-motion video sequences are particularly enjoyable, and there are plenty of them - more than 90 minutes worth, in fact.  The actors are entertaining and fun to watch, especially Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost) and the famously gruff Michael Ironside.  Other actors you'll recognize include Billy Dee Williams, Tricia Helfer, and Grace Park (the latter two from Battlestar Galactica).

A Scrin mothership does some "sightseeing" in London.

C&C3's graphics are outstanding.  You'll see rippling water, detailed map terrain, awe-inspiring weapon special effects, and satisfying explosions.  The sound effects are equally good, from EVA's mission updates to weapons fire to the screams of fallen infantry (some of which sound just like they did back in 1995, adding fuel to the fire of my nostalgia).  The music is good, but unfortunately can't compare with Frank Klepacki's outstanding work on earlier C&C games.

The game boasts a solid, full-featured multiplayer component.  You can play matches with up to eight players, including computer-controlled enemies (or allies).  C&C3 has built-in support for clan and ladder matches, automatic matchmaking based on your skill level, voice chat, and BattleCast, EA's new feature that allows players to broadcast games and even provide commentary during live matches.

Look out Nod, here come the Mammoths.
