The story is trite and ripped off, the characters are completely two-dimensional, and the gameplay is terribly repetitive.
What can we say about Infernal? Okay, well, it is a new third-person shooter from developer Metropolis Software, and it focuses on the struggle between good and evil on Earth. You play a guy named Ryan Lennox, who happens to be a fallen angel. I guess he was the mute amidst the heavenly choir of angels.

Being the fallen angel that he is, Ryan has naturally decided to become some kind of alcohol swilling, neck tattoo styling, facial hair growing, mercenary for hire. What Ryan the Angel does not know, however, is that the heavenly corporation (?) Everlight has decided to kill him. So, with his former divine allies looking to take him down, Ryan the Angel must turn to the only being that can protect him - Satan.
This turn to the dark side gives Ryan the Angel some rather non-angelic powers. He can teleport from place to place, he can levitate things, see invisible things, give a temporary demonic boost to whatever weapon he fires, and suck the souls from dead guys to heal himself (we'll let you figure that one out. We're still stuck on why an angel would have a neck tattoo).

With these new powers in hand, Ryan the Angel must go forth and thwart his heavenly foes. Sounds exciting, doesn't it? Get used to disappointment.
