We go for a wild ride in TrackMania: United.

TrackMania: United is the latest release in the popular underground racer series from French developer Nadeo. Much like the previous games, United is filled to the brim with insanely fast paced and grossly unrealistic driving madness. You will find impossibly fast cars blasting across even more impossible, maze-like tracks stretching out over miles across beautiful back drops or expansive arenas.

New for United is the incorporation of several new online features which appeal to TrackMania's devoted fan base. Players have the chance to create specialized pages via the game's Manialink portal, where custom tracks and cars can be created and shared with other fans from across the globe. Gamers can also share their stats via these pages, show off videos of their game play, and more.

But hold on there, chief. To get in on all this online goodness, you are going to need to accumulate "Coppers" which are what passes for money in United's world. That is done by taking a top spot in the single player Race, Puzzle, and Platform modes, or selling custom cars and tracks you have created. Thankfully, the single player game is just as good, if not better, than the multiplayer.

The Race mode is the most straightforward of the three modes and consists of various timed tracks within which one must achieve either gold, silver, or bronze awards to move on to the next level. The Platform mode has one somehow working their way across a wacky maze of ramps, tracks, platforms, and tunnels designed to trip you up and confuse you as much as possible. The final mode, the Puzzle mode, has players literally piecing together a jumbled collection of track pieces in the correct order, and then racing the clock to complete it in a set time.
