According to the developer’s website, the original version included a level editor for crafting your own maniacal creations. Sadly, this feature was removed. It’s a shame, because most players will rip through all included levels in a matter of hours. Sure, you could replay scenarios to beat your old times, but minus the content creation tools, this isn’t a package with substantial replay value.

For all its charm, Circulate lacks a few features common in many of today’s casual games. It has no multiplayer component. Though it scales to several common screen resolutions, it doesn’t support widescreen or HD. Hints are clearly written, but contain the occasional typo. Perhaps with a few tweaks, some extra polish, and a couple of new features Circulate could find its way onto Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, or the Wii’s download service. In its present state, however, it feels a bit light.

We've been told that Circulate will be packaged for retail sale with other casual games, though at this time we do not know the suggested retail price or launch date. Depending on how many titles are bundled together, you might get a lot of bang for your buck. We'll update this review as we learn the details.
Overall, Circulate is a charming little casual game that provides small doses of enjoyment. While it doesn’t possess the timeless appeal of classics like Tetris, it throws enough unique challenges your way to make it worth considering if you’re craving something different.
