Onto the graphics. The best thing I can say is that they are a mixed bag. I cranked everything up to 1600X1200 and they were fairly pretty. The textures were not top notch, and I noticed some artifacts and some jagged edges that shouldn't have been there. Don't get me wrong, they are not behind the curve--they are just not ahead of it either.
The banter between Graves and Lang is tiresome. If there were a way to turn this feature off, I would. It is cliched by every sense of the word, with the younger black soldier uttering street phrases in some lame attempt to sound 'down with it'. The older guy is jaded and generally pissed off, and he says everything to this effect. It is obvious from the start, no need to have him constantly commenting to this effect.
I found the game to be a little on the short side, but I wouldn't say too much so. Where you get some extra bang is in the multiplayer. It's also nice to play Co-op, obviously the main attraction of the game. This seems more geared for the consoles, but I think it worked okay online. Many in the press have said the game is not good enough to get someone to suffer it with you, but I found plenty of people willing to do so.
I've played Army of Two. Though in some ways more innovative, I just didn't enjoy that game as much as this one. An opinion, of course, and one many in the press would not share, but I am here to tell you what I think. Army of Two did not offer the intensity of this game. No, it won't win any awards, but if the idea of Co-op play interests you, then this game would be a good one to pick up.
