So what’s the incentive for all this racing and girlfriend impressing, you ask? Well, at the end of each race, you earn OutRun miles, which can be used in the Showroom to buy new Ferraris, new stages, or new car colors and music. And yes, you have to buy each individual car color separate from one another, setting the stage for such classic moments as realizing you just spent the last two hours racing so that you can turn one of your cars light gray. Awesome. And if you are for some reason a fan of this game’s music, there are some classic 1980’s OutRun tunes you can unlock as well.



The graphics are the best thing about OutRun 2006. This game looks awesome. Every stage is bright and colorful, and each one just looks awesome. The car models themselves are exceptionally well done. The stage backgrounds are rendered in 3D and look great, and even the dust kicked up from the track when powersliding looks cool.
